Here you can be active - hiking, cycling, canoeing, fishing, or just relaxing, enjoying lovely walks along the Mosel or through the vineyards, tasting the local wine and cuisine. An ideal starting point for exploring the Mosel Valley, please look at some of the suggestions below, a holiday destination that truly caters for every taste.

Our holiday accommodation is located in the traditional wine village of Ellenz-Poltersdorf, in an area known as the Mosel-Krampen.

Ellenz-Polterdorf is surrounded by vineyards, a lovely unspoilt village with timber houses, traditional vintner's yards in which to taste the excellent local Riesling. The village also has a variety of restaurants. The next bakery & a super market is ca 4km away,  the village also has an outdoor swimming pool which is a short walk from the apartment .

A car / foot passenger ferry operates from the village across to Beilstein.

Cochem is 9 km away and connects to national & the European rail network. The nearest airport is Frankfurt-Hahn - 45 km away. If flying into Hahn, you have the option of car hire or a chargeable shuttle bus service to Bullay Rail-station, from there by bus no 711 to Ellenz.

  • Dunkirk (France) to Ellenz - 5 hours
  • Hook van Holland to Ellenz - 4 hours

Kitchen is equipped with fridge, cooking hob, oven, dishwasher, kettle, toaster, coffee maker, egg boiler and all the utensils you need to prepare breakfast and light meals along with a starter supply of coffee, tea, milk, sugar.  Store room with ironing board, steam iron, vacuum cleaner, clothes rail.
